Who are those caped crusaders?

earth

Oh no, not another eco blog!!!

Have no fear, Enviro Girl and Recycla are here! And this isn’t just ANY eco blog, it’s ECO WOMEN: PROTECTORS OF THE PLANET!!!

Enviro Girl and Recycla are on a mission to save Planet Earth — one simple step at a time — and they invite YOU to join them.

To make this as easy as possible, the caped crusaders will show you the simplest ways to make a difference. Just by changing one light bulb or recycling one can or reusing one plastic container, you too can join the Eco Women in their quest for truth, justice, and the Green way.

Underneath their capes and masks, Enviro Girl and Recycla are normal people, just like you. They have husbands, children, houses, jobs, and far too many balls they’re trying to keep in the air. Like you, some days, even just the simple act of rinsing out a glass jar and taking it to the recycling bin ten feet away seems like more they can manage. Just like Bruce Wayne and Peter Parker, when the Eco Women take off their superhero costumes, they have failings and struggles.

Here’s a secret:The Eco Women are not perfect. No, they really are not. On this blog, they will confess their Eco Sins and talk about areas where they need to improve a little or maybe even a lot. They will also talk a LOT about those things that do work for them and that don’t take a lot of time out of a superhero’s busy schedule.

Because they believe strongly that Planet Earth needs all the help it can get. Every little change has an impact on the environment. And all those little changes will add up to big results. And when all of the Superheroes on Planet Earth unite, we can have truth, justice and the Green Way.

  1. It looks great over here! I am looking forward to learning new things, and I think it’s great that you all are doing this. Congrats.

  2. I had no idea you were planning this, but it is a great initiative.

I like how you are making the goals attainable for us ‘normal’ people, and not too preachy to turn people off.

I will definitely be checking in, girls.

    Happy weekend,

    Heidi

  3. Y’all may become my favorite super-heroines….

  4. Wow, I’ll keep checking for tips. Good for you two.

  5. Hi you guys!

Love, the only one on the block whose recycle output is higher than the trash input on Tuesday mornings.

  6. The site looks wonderful and I’m all for my ways to help out Mother Earth.

  7. Good work.. and keep those ideas coming!

  8. And, kids, clean those canvas bags. Lois, the friendly clerk at C’ville Market, pointed out last night that many of the canvas bags that people present at the checkout are really, really nasty. Just toss ‘em in the washer every so often and the grocery store baggers will thank you.
