My friend who died a couple of years ago had a wicker coffin, it was the first time I had seen one (to be fair, I hadn’t seen many coffins at all) and it really made an impact on me and was wholly in line with her principles.
I’m icked out by the notion of embalming, so having myself cremated or merely placed in a plain wood box strikes me as appropriate. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, you know!
