We had our middle son and his 5-yrs-post-breast cancer wife dump all of their plastic water jugs. They are both big water drinkers and would carry these around and refill them. They replaced them with stainless jugs!

On another note, I have a complaint: why is it so hard to be good? As in green good? Why do organic products and environmental goods always have to cost so much more?
Case in Point: Today I got a catalogue on all natural clothing, with some nice things all right--until I looked at their price tags! I don't invest a ton in clothing these days, but will pay more for quality in something I'm going to wear to death--but these duds had me cringing!
$500 coats, $160 pants, $120 for a sweatshirt!!! The cheapest thing was a white cotton tee, organic to be sure, at $28. SHEESH!

I've been using more and more glass products and this validates that choice. Oh if I'd known when my boys were little, though!

I shudder when I think about all the plastic things my children had when they were babies -- bottles, pacifiers, and so much more.

*shudder*
