It only takes a minute to grab cloth bags on the way to the store, instead of using paper or plastic. This is an EZ way to reduce our waste. And, if you’re like me, and you forget your bags – put a few out in the car and keep them there.
But there are other ways you can have less of an impact, if you’re willing to try. We’re all capable of being creative.
My parents used to recraft items all the time — of course with nine kids and a meager budget they had to be crafty and clever to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. But I still remember how Dad would take “junk” and turn it into useful items for us to use around the house.
Now, I’m not saying we have to be as clever as the people over at ThereIFixedIt.com but I also don’t think it’s a bad idea.
Do you have any clever ideas or repurposing hints you could share in the “comments” section. This is one way to help “pay it forward” and protect the planet at the same time.
