The Green Queen loves to “spruce” up the yard for the holidays. One way she does it, is by walking through parks and gathering up pine cones, sticks, chestnuts, and so forth.
Then she takes them home and gives them a dusting of color. After the gatherings are glamorized, she tucks them into pots and any place she can find to highlight the natural beauty of the bounty in the yard, park, and sidewalks.
This is an easy way to brighten the house and yard without spending any money.
She also uses anything she can find around the house…like practice golf balls. She gives them a coat of color and uses them in pots and bowls to liven up the area.
Take a peek at some of the ways the Green Queen uses the natural findings to decorate.

Adorable! And cheap and clever! I spray-painted branches silver one year to stick in among the greenery. Great effect for pennies.
